Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer on a 9 month Contract, based in North West.


Hybrid working: 4 days working in office, 1 day working from home.


Job Description
  1. Answering technical queries, requests for information and resolving non-conformances.
  2. Produce and check structural calculations and details that are necessary for site modifications (with approval of the permanent works team).
  3. Carry out site surveys.
  4. Review contractor method statements, risk assessments and inspection plans.
  5. Review temporary works designs.
  6. Face to face interfacing with construction to understand requirements, issues and work priorities, assessing any impacts against the design and scope of work required.
Essential Experience/ Requirements
  1. Ability to obtain BPSS is essential for this role.
  2. Degree or HNC qualified, Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) with in post-Chartership experience.
  3. A pro-active, self-starter with good communication, analytical and team working skills.
  4. Understanding of CDM Regulations.
  5. Experienced STAAD user.
  6. Calculation production using Excel.
Design Tools/ Software
  1. Effective computer skills; latest editions of Microsoft Office software.
  2. STAAD.
