They are actively searching for a technically‑minded, driven Principal EICA Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of wastewater and non‑infrastructure design, who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of an array of challenging projects. You will have a hand in establishing, growing, and managing a team of bright design engineers, based in the vibrant, diverse Capital City of London. Benefits for the role of Principal EICA Engineer include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Employee Pension Scheme Generous annual leave entitlement Hybrid/flexible working opportunities, with a focus on work‑life balance Life Insurance Scheme Dedication to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with good career progression opportunities available Delivery of a wide range of exciting engineering projects across the local region and beyond Proactively contributing to the company’s development prospects Responsibilities For The Role Of Principal EICA Engineer Include Overseeing complex electrical design deliverables, including single‑line diagrams, distribution layouts, projection and coordination, earthing/grounding, and more Leading the specifications of electrical equipment for a range of projects, including switchgears, transformers, distribution boards, etc. Producing various designs for control and instrumentation interfaces, to include SCADA, PLCs, field instrumentation, and power supply Undertaking calculations, analyses, and coordination studies, as well as other technical work, including checking and amending colleagues work Establishing excellent working relations with clientele and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors, ensuring high‑quality project delivery Delivering all project stages, including initial commissioning, testing, site supervision, delivery, and handover Ensuring compliance with the required standards, regulations, procedures, and legislation Managing a busy team of colleagues, as well as a diverse range of projects Required skills and experience for the role of Principal EICA Engineer include: A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering (or a similar, relevant discipline) Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., IET) Experience of working in an electrical engineering role, within infrastructure or the industrial sector Demonstrable experience in power distribution, electrical design, and control and instrumentation Good working knowledge of the relevant industry standards and regulations, including IEC, BS, and NEC Proficient in preparing drawings, schematics, and other technical documents Excellent working knowledge of a range of design and analysis software systems and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, Dialux, etc. An understanding of LV/MV electrical systems and utility interface requirements Good problem solving skills, with a technical mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience of managing people, projects, and stakeholder relations Hold a full, valid UK driving licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal EICA Engineer include: Experience within the UK Water Sector, particularly with wastewater and/or utilities Good working knowledge of instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, and automation systems Prior experience of working on construction sites Some experience with power quality, harmonic an Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Advertising Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
