SCP 11 £28,142 - SCP 16 £30,518.00Hours Per Week: 36hoursBase Location: Tame Street Depot.Assessment Date: To be arrangedThe RoleTo be responsible for the management of day-to-day service provision in accordance with the council’s requirements for waste services.To drive all vehicles associated with the waste collection operation, to collect and deliver material to a predetermined site and be the team leader on the allocated round.The safe operation of vehicles and undertaking the statutory vehicle checks.The efficient and effective supervision of a close-knit team that are collecting and removing recyclable material and waste from across Tameside.It is essential that you can work in all weather conditions, use basic tools e.g. brush and shovel, understand and carry out written and verbal instructions, be helpful, courteous and respectful to both customers and colleagues.You will also be expected to undertake significant amounts of driving in an urban environment and also walking, lifting and maneuvering of full and empty waste collection receptacles.Important Note: You will be required to work a 36 hour working week, normally Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
