About the role We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands‑on engineering experience who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment and is eager to contribute to innovative projects. Responsibilities Confidently remove and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Fault find and repair low‑voltage PLC‑based control and safety systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems. Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries to site as a second person. Wash, strip, prepare, paint, and re‑assemble equipment. Maintain a clean and organised workshop, yard, and building. Support general building maintenance tasks. Collaborate with the stores person to organise stock and parts. Requirements A valid UK driving licence. Proven engineering experience across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Practical knowledge of PLC control systems. A hands‑on, proactive approach to workshop tasks. Willingness to travel to site using a pool vehicle when required. Must be commutable to Waltham Abbey. Hours Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 17:00 (40 hours) Benefits Holidays and Birthday Leave: Start with 23 days, increasing to 25 after 2 years of service, plus bank holidays.
