Job title: Security OfficerCompany: Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene ServicesOverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Front of House Security Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for safeguarding our client’s premises, assets, and personnel, maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats.ResponsibilitiesMonitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.Maintain a visible and professional presence.Enforce site policies and procedures, assignment instructions.Write detailed incident reports.Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.Role DetailsWorking 36 hours per week.Overtime opportunities available.Weekly contracted hours: 36hrs.Hourly rate: £12.98.Front of House Officer role with duties as described above.Main DutiesMonitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.Respond to alarms and incidents promptly.Maintain professional conduct and appearance.TrainingFully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training. Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the FOH Supervisor.Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.Protection, Health & SafetyIdentify and report Health & Safety hazards on site promptly.Stay alert to threats or changes to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with customers.Complete accurate notebook entries after any incident to support Incident Report processes.Ensure checks calls are carried out at the allocated times and call emergency services as required.What We Are Looking ForProven experience as a Security Officer / Front of House, or in related roles.Proven experience in Emergency response roles.Valid Security Licence.Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).Strong observational skills and security situational awareness.Excellent communication skills.Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods.Basic computer skills.DBS Check.We offer a market-leading flexible benefits scheme, including access to a virtual GP, salary finance options, a flexible benefits platform with choices, high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, life cover, and employee recognition programs.Mitie is committed to an inclusive recruitment process.
