Working within our Thrive Edinburgh service you can start your day knowing what you do really does make a difference We have a unique vacancy for Peer Practitioner and are looking to recruit someone with lived/living experience of Mental Ill Health. This is an opportunity for you to use your lived experience of recovery and self-management to provide Hope and Belief for others, through equal relationships and shared experiences. This peer role requires someone who is emotionally resilient would be confident to appropriately share the tools and coping mechanisms that has got them to this point in their recovery. Do you feel able to support others and help them navigate their recovery journey? The role is in Collaboration with the NHS and other 3 rd sector organisations which make up the multidisciplinary “Thrive Welcome Teams.” The teams include peer practitioners, mental health nurses, social workers, support workers and occupational therapists. The service runs Monday to Friday 9-5pm. The team all provide 1:1 support according to their discipline, group work facilitation for Decider Skills and ADHD, and also cover the Open Access which is a drop-in, first point of contact for people who require mental health support.
