Area Commissioning Electrician

About The RoleAs our electrical teams grow, we invite applications for the position of Commissioning Electrician to cover our North West Region. Specialising in commissioning electrical installs, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning and functionality testing of pumping systems while adhering to safety standards and project deadlines. This role requires meticulous documentation skills, effective communication with customers, and thorough testing of system functionality.ResponsibilitiesComplete commissioning activities for pump system installs, including level controllers, flow meters, inverters, control valves, generators, and Programmable Logic Controllers.Document commissioning procedures, system configurations, and parameters onto electrical commissioning reports and the internal intranet to keep information up to date for future projects.Perform functional testing of pumping systems to ensure proper operation and adherence to manufacturers and company specifications.Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to resolve installation issues or discrepancies, and demonstrate correct ways of working to prevent repeat errors.Provide comprehensive job handover to customers, including safe system operation, field training, documentation, and commissioning pack.Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues to meet customer requirements.Essential QualificationsC&G 2382 -18th edition IET Wiring RegulationC&G2391- Inspection Testing & CertificationJIB Registered (ECS card Holder)Full UK Driving LicenceNVQ Level 3 as a minimumECS Card to installer standardEssential ExperiencePrevious experience in an electrical commissioning roleSkilled in deciphering electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings; able to translate information into actionable solutionsProven ability to foster continuous learning and professional growth within the teamStrong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, controllers, and instrumentationPractical and technical experience with 3-phase systemsProficient in drafting commissioning reports and recording test results for internal and external audiencesKnowledge of BS 7671, BS EN 60204, and Health and Safety at Work ActExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication with team members and customersExperience with pumping system brands or manufacturersExperience with PLCs, HMIs, and control system integrationKnowledge of energy efficiency principles in pumping systemsStrong self-management and prioritisation to meet deadlinesPlease note - This role is subject to a safety critical medical.What we can offer youCompetitive salaryCompany van (for work use)Enhanced overtime pay (for additional hours and call outs)Medicash Scheme – medical expenses scheme (24-hour online GP services, discounted gym memberships)Pension scheme with contribution based on total earnings not just salary25 days holiday + 8 bank holidaysIncreasing annual leave entitlement with long service3x your annual salary life insurance (DIS)Support for development and trainingEmployee assistance programme (EAP) & access to Mental Health first aidersEmployee discount schemeEmployee referral schemeEquality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Statement: Workdry International Ltd is committed to encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
