Boots UK Nottingham, England, United Kingdom Solution Architect – Data Platform Location: Nottingham Contract: Perm About the role We're looking for a talented individual to take the next step in their career and join us as a Solution Architect responsible for leading the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the platform. Responsibilities Lead the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the Data Platform. Ensure all solution designs meet agreed business requirements, are cost‑effective, deliverable and supportable. Align to and continuously improve on platform principles, standards and patterns. Work with internal teams to deliver platform capabilities, allowing us to maximize the value of our data. Engage with external technology and engineering partners to ensure our solutions align to industry best practices and forward plans. Collaborate with the Platform Architect to create reusable designs and platform capabilities. Demonstrate strong technical and analytical abilities and a passion for delivering results for customers – both internal and external. What you'll need to have In‑depth Azure knowledge and experience with data platform related technologies. Experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud data tooling. In‑depth experience in design and development of IT and data solutions. A broad and balanced understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies. Experience influencing senior stakeholders on solutions for proposed initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Familiarity with data engineering approaches needed to fulfil MI and analytics requirements. It would be great if you also have Data product delivery experience for varying levels of data maturity. Experience in team management. Experience as a subject matter expert for globally distributed teams. Experience working in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, supply chain or CPG industries.
