Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information. Duties Manages the cloud computing architecture for DFAS which includes the front-end platforms, servers, storage, databases, software, delivery, networks required to manage cloud storage, analytics and intelligence. Expertly develops and coordinates cloud architecture, develops a cloud strategy and coordinates the adaptation process. Conducts complex research and continuous validation of rapidly-evolving cloud technologies to develop enterprise-wide strategies, techniques and procedures for all DFAS cloud-based application integration efforts and environments. Ensures all enterprise Infrastructure-based capabilities and systems are engineered for operational efficiency and meet or exceed service-level standards. Plans, organizes, and determines scope and depth of system(s) and controls which are largely undefined. Develops new ways to measure program accomplishments, results and effectiveness. Works with contracting representatives to review contract requirements for hardware, software and other cloud technology to assist in overall negotiation process.
