Job Title: Biomedical Scientist – BiochemistryLocation: East London, Greater LondonBanding: Band 6Start Date: ASAPDuration: OngoingRate: £28 – £30 per hourWorking Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 or 11:30 – 20:00Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join their Biochemistry team in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established NHS laboratory, contributing to high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and professional team, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of patient samples.Responsibilities:The role involves performing diagnostic tests within the Biochemistry department, adhering to laboratory protocols and quality standards. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining Cobas Pure and Cobas 8000 analysers, utilising Q-Pulse for quality management, sample processing, result validation, equipment calibration, and participating in quality assurance schemes. Flexibility to work independently across different shifts is essential.Qualifications and Experience:HCPC registration as a Biomedical ScientistAt least 2 years’ post-registration experience in BiochemistryProficient with Cobas Pure and Cobas 8000 analysersExperience with Q-Pulse quality management systemKnowledge of UKAS standards and laboratory best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureEffective communication and teamwork skillsHow to apply?If you believe your skills match this role, please apply today.
