NWAS Vehicle Technician The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA's exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment. Responsibilities Service and maintain Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV). Repair specialist ambulance equipment. Ensure compliance with Trust and DVSA standards. Qualifications Recognised apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience. NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications. Full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement. Eligibility and Checks Valid right to work and identity check. Reference checks covering a minimum three‑year period and sickness absence covering a minimum two‑year period. DBS disclosure (a charge will be made for this disclosure if required). Occupational Health – satisfactory medical clearance required. Vaccination against COVID‑19 is encouraged but not a condition of employment. Working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern covering 365 days a year. Additional salary uplift of approximately 12.5% for operating 365 days per year via rotating shifts.
