Acoustic Consultant – Leeds

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a highly respected, UK leading firm with expertise in building acoustics and energy, with a number of offices spanning the UK and abroad. This successful organisation is looking to recruit a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in their office based in Leeds and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.QualificationsPreferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/ Noise and VibrationAMIOAExperienceAcoustic consultancy experience in the field of Environmental and/or Building AcousticsTechnically competent and IT proficientGood communication and client liaison skillsExtensive and detailed understanding of sound insulation testingHighly organised and IT literateDutiesMeasurement surveys and reportingProviding a solution in line with noise control and insulationPrediction and measurement of transportation noisePlanning conditions – compliance and negotiationNoise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)Liaise with consultants, engineers and architectsWriting high quality reportsIndustrial and commercial noise controlConsultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on the appropriate use of planning conditionsUndertake noise assessment site visits all over the UKUpon joining, you will benefit from one of the country’s leading training programs for research and development into acoustic materials and insulation solutions.
