About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Resuscitation Officer to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. Responsibilities: Lead and deliver high‑standard resuscitation training in both adult and paediatric life support at basic and immediate levels across the Trust. Support clinical teams during and after emergencies and play a key role in Trust‑wide initiatives to enhance resuscitation practices and equipment governance. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure outstanding patient care, education, and service delivery, in line with national standards and professional codes of practice. The post involves a balance of training (50%) and administrative, clinical, audit, incident investigation, and equipment management (50%). Provide leadership, education, and support to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of excellence in a quality learning environment. Work collaboratively to ensure effective resuscitation training and optimal use of resources and equipment. Support the operational delivery of the governance assurance framework, ensuring all training and services meet the highest organisational and national standards. Demonstrate expertise in resuscitation practice and education, maintaining accountability for the quality of training and life support provided. Act as a clinical expert and role model, offering education and support to all staff. Support Trust‑wide initiatives on resuscitation equipment governance and cardiac arrest reduction. These include: Identity verification Right to work check Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)/Criminal record check (dependent on role) Professional registration and/or qualification check Occupational health assessment Employment history and reference validation All applicants external to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust will be required to provide their HMRC employment history to cover the most recent three years employment. This information will be used to validate employment history and references. If you require sponsorship, we will assess your eligibility based on current government guidance. If the role is not eligible and you cannot demonstrate your right to work, your conditional offer may be withdrawn. Once Checks Are Complete The Recruitment Team will coordinate with you and the hiring manager to confirm a start date. You'll be booked onto a Trust Welcome Session and receive your Pennine Care NHS Terms and Conditions. You are a registered ODP, Paramedic or Nurse. You have experience in resuscitation or critical care, with the ability to attend and manage cardiac arrest situations and medical emergencies on mental health inpatient wards.
