As Accounts Payable Assistant, you will provide a professional and efficient accounts payable service to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and promptly, and to maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Input supplier invoices and practice data submissions in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct payments.
  2. Answer practice and supplier queries accurately and in a timely manner, resolving any issues, escalating issues where required.
  3. Ensure correct authorisation is received for all invoices.
  4. Ensure monthly Laboratory invoices are entered into accounting system via daily files in line with pre-set deadlines.
  5. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure system and payment accuracy.
  6. Activate and generate all supplier, associates, hygienists and locums payment runs in accordance with a monthly time schedule.
  7. Rectify any payment errors.
  8. Ensure correct payment authorisation is received in a timely manner.
  9. Ensure accurate remittances are sent to suppliers in a timely manner.
  10. Manage the monthly submissions of data generated by Practice staff ensuring data is checked and input in a timely manner to correspond with month end accounting timetables and associates pay schedules.
  11. Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all paper-based and archived records are maintained for audit purposes.
  12. Ensure full compliance with all internal, external and legislative requirements.
  13. Provide a professional, courteous and proactive internal and external customer service at all times.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Previous accounts payable experience in a high volume environment.
  2. Computer literate, in particular Excel.
  3. Demonstrable experience of inputting bulk data accurately and efficiently.
  4. Customer service experience.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work to deadlines.
  7. Team working.
  8. Experience using CODA is an advantage.
