Development Engineer LOCATION: Andover TERM: Permanent SALARY: £28,000‑£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a Development Engineer, on a permanent basis, to join their team in Andover. Attributes Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar 1 year or more experience working in a similar hands‑on Mechanical Design / Development position within a manufacturing environment Proficiency with using 3D CAD; ideally SolidWorks but other software will be considered Have the ability to select the correct engineering components and materials Previous experience of working with special purpose machine assemblies, test rigs or precision tooling would be desirable Excellent communication skills The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team Responsibilities Designing development equipment, prototype production tooling, test rigs, machine parts and other equipment in an engineering development environment Working with SolidWorks CAD software Updating 3D models and drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs Checking drawings for sign off Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering team Providing engineering problem resolution and support Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
