Investment Banking – Diversified Industries (Autos, Aerospace & Defence) – Executive Director – London JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced leader to join the Diversified Industries team and drive meaningful impact across our EMEA operations. The Executive Director will focus on the mid‑market automotive, aerospace, and defence sectors, owning the development of client relationships and the execution of complex M&A and capital‑markets transactions. Job Responsibilities Lead the creation of strategic content for high‑level client meetings, ensuring alignment with client objectives and firm strategy. Act as the primary point of contact for senior team members and client management, guiding transaction execution and advising on strategic alternatives. Proactively originate and network with clients in the automotive, aerospace, and defence sectors across EMEA, building relationships that generate new business opportunities. Direct, review, and provide expert guidance on valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO models. Supervise and critically evaluate financial analyses for M&A and strategic pitch activities. Mentor and develop junior bankers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance across deal teams. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Extensive investment‑banking leadership experience, with a proven track record in complex transactions and significant exposure to the automotive, aerospace, and defence sectors. Exceptional ethics, integrity, and judgement, recognized for maintaining high professional standards. Expertise in financial modelling and analytical techniques, with the ability to oversee and challenge complex work. Advanced client relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior client relationships. Strong leadership and team orientation, proven success in motivating high‑performing teams. Superior organisational and strategic skills, highly organised and proactive in managing multiple priorities. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Proficiency in a European language in addition to English. This role encompasses regulated activity. The successful candidate will comply with regulatory requirements in fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence assessments, and where appropriate, obtain approval from relevant authorities to carry out such activities.
