Due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident Lead Infrastructure Architect to join the Managed Services Business Unit within Advanced.
As a Lead Infrastructure Architect, you'll implement new capabilities on customer facing projects across a breadth of technologies. You are a self-starting, experienced architect able to confidently engage and act as a trusted advisor to senior customers stakeholders and internal colleagues on large and complex technology changes. You will be able to quickly understand business context, translating strategic objectives and business requirements into technology solutions. You will lead by example, producing high quality technical designs and providing implementation teams with technical leadership across the project life cycle.
Primarily focused on Professional Services technical project delivery, you'll also support our presales team to shape compelling propositions to prospective and existing customers who engage us to bid on new transformation opportunities.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities of a Lead Infrastructure Architect include:
- Evaluating business and operational challenges and current state impacts, using a consultative and engaging approach with our customers
- Presenting findings with recommendations, anticipated benefits and key risks
- Architecting, designing and implementing technical solutions for our customers, with a focus on physical and virtualised infrastructure on-prem and within a multi or hybrid cloud environment
- Being the Technical Lead and 'go to' on large and complex professional services projects
- Providing technical design assurance and quality control for technical design documents produced on other professional services projects
- Committing to continuous professional development in all areas of the role
What You Will Have
- Minimum 5+ years in a similar role
- Experience in a customer facing environment, whether as part of a consulting organisation or professional services team.
- Experience of the IT Managed Services and IT Outsourcing business model
- In-depth technical knowledge of architects in areas such as:
- Physical and hosted data centre technologies
- Virtualisation
- Storage, Hyper-converged, Converged Infrastructure solutions
- Server Operating Systems (majoring on Wintel/Microsoft Windows Server)
- LAN and WAN technologies
- Experience with some or all of the following vendor technologies:
- Dell Technologies
- VMWare
- Microsoft Azure including Stack HCI
- Cisco
- A good knowledge of:
- Networking and Security
- End-user compute & digital workspace
- Technical leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Comfort with multitasking across complex projects.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Visualization and articulation of project parameters and scope.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
