Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires experience working with children. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in supporting children's development and fostering positive learning experiences in our nursery setting. Duties Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and activities Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and behaviour Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming Lead by example in demonstrating best practices in childcare and early childhood education Assist with managing the nursery team, providing guidance and support to junior staff or interns Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transporting children safely Skills Proven experience with children, ideally within a nursery or childcare setting Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations Ability to engage children through creative activities and educational programmes Organised, responsible, and attentive to detail in record keeping and safety procedures Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Valid driving licence to facilitate transportation duties when necessary Essential Level 3 Qualification in Childcare/Early Years Required to carry out an Enhanced DBS check This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young children's lives while working within a supportive team environment.
