Female Support Worker
Location - Lichfield
£12.21 per hour
Role Description – Female Support Worker
Gray Healthcare are recruiting a female support worker within the Lichfield area to support a lady who has a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, Autism and a Learning disability living independently in her own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day.
The lady we support loves fashion, enjoys listening to music, enjoys cooking and enjoy accessing the community.
She will be supported by a female team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights.
Female Support Worker Required Skills and Experience
* Social care experience, ideally within Autism and Learning Disabilities and with some experience of supporting individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder.
* Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
* Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
* Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
* You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
* This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Hours
24 hour days contract 2 x 12 hour shift per week 10.00am to 22.00pm
Induction and Training
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
