Fetal Monitoring Midwife | Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Do you have a passion for fetal monitoring and supporting your colleagues to provide safe and evidence‑based care? Would you like to develop your own skills in teaching, assessing, leadership and quality improvement? Then this role is for you. Responsibilities: Support staff in providing a safe, robust and consistent approach to antenatal and intrapartum fetal monitoring, including both continuous and intermittent fetal monitoring. Develop staff’s awareness in recognising factors that could contribute to misinterpretation of cardiotocography (CTGs) and impaired clinical decision‑making. Ensure staff are assessing fetal well‑being in the context of the woman’s health, pregnancy, gestational age, stage of labour and intrapartum risk factors. Participate in teaching on multi‑disciplinary training days and facilitate learning opportunities following case reviews. Undertake audits to ensure compliance with fetal monitoring guidelines and national requirements. Embed principles of physiological CTG interpretation for intrapartum CTGs as the Trust has transitioned from a NICE‑based approach. Enhance teaching, learning, and reflection within clinical settings involving intrapartum or antenatal fetal monitoring. Educate and support clinical staff with all elements of antenatal and intrapartum fetal monitoring, including physiological CTG interpretation, antenatal CTG/cCTG interpretation, and promote safe intermittent auscultation practice. We continually invest in our facilities and are committed to equal opportunities. Applications from individuals from the global majority, veterans and under‑represented communities are encouraged. If you haven’t heard from us within three weeks of the closing date, your application was likely unsuccessful. Employment is subject to a six‑month probationary period. Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites. For further details or informal visits contact: Sophie Spalla, Lead Fetal Monitoring Midwife, Email: sophie.spalla@nhs.net #J-18808-Ljbffr
