Electrician (Mobile) – Retail Supermarkets Location: Multi-site across Edinburgh & Livingston. Compensation: £40,593.78 (including call‑out and training payments) + overtime. Overtime: Monday‑Friday at 1.5x hourly; weekends at 2x hourly; potential 5‑20 hours/month (not guaranteed). Benefits: Company van with fuel card ( use), 5% pension scheme, BUPA Healthcare (single cover), 33 days holiday (incl bank holidays), retail discounts, progression opportunities. Hours: 40 hours/week – Monday‑Friday. On‑call/Standby: 1 week every 4. Training: 1 week at NW England facility for bakery and catering equipment training. Our client, a national leader in facilities management, seeks a qualified electrician to join their electrical team. Job Purpose This key position involves carrying out electrical maintenance – planned and reactive – across multiple sites. The electrician will perform technical repairs and maintain PPM schedules, ensuring all compliance paperwork is completed, and work is carried out to high standards within cost and health & safety policies. Key Accountabilities Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, completing all required paperwork. Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs. Identify non‑repairable faults, advise line manager promptly. Ensure compliance documentation is always up to date. Inform on‑site customers of any repair/maintenance matters affecting site operation. Complete surveys and reports as required. Adhere to company Health and Safety policy. Participate in a 24/7 call‑out rota (1 week in every 4). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities City & Guilds 236 Part 1+2 or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent. AM2 or approved electrician status. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671: 2018). 3‑Phase electrics and applications. Achieve PPM schedule within agreed timescales. Respond to service call requests within agreed timescales. Full and valid driving licence personal motor vehicle for travel to sites.
