Overnight Security and Facilities Officer – Job Specification Job Role: Overnight Security and Facilities Officer Location: Central London Employment: PAYE Remuneration: £22-24 per hour (approx. £50,000 per year) Shifts: Average 175-200 hours per month (3-4 shifts per week) Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee Start Date: Mid-November 2025 About the Role Marengo is recruiting professional and reliable Overnight Security and Facilities Officers to join our team. This is a dual-role position covering two premium office buildings, requiring both traditional security responsibilities and day-to-day facilities support. This lone-working role covers nights and weekends on a rotational basis, with 12–15 hour shifts. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with strong initiative, vigilance, and the ability to manage incidents calmly and professionally. Key Responsibilities Security Monitor CCTV system Manage access control Conduct regular internal/external patrols Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies Provide first aid if required Ensure a safe, secure environment across the site including during office events Facilities support Restock fridges and kitchen areas Replenish office amenities and supplies Assist with light day-to-day operational support to keep the offices running smoothly Client service Provide professional and welcoming presence for any overnight staff or visitors Sign in/out and monitor all after hours contractors Requirements Must be ex-British Army or Police Valid SIA Security Guard License Ability to work independently Good knowledge of health and safety and emergency procedures Two professional referees required Desired Professional, adaptable, and proactive Courteous and approachable Solution-focused with a positive outlook A team player who contributes to a supportive environment Medical certification desirable (FPOS/FREC Level 3) Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety qualification How To Apply Please send your CV, covering letter and photo (taken within the last 30 days), and details of two professional referees to fb@marengo.group.
