An established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Edinburgh city centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative, design-led environment surrounded by skilled engineers and technical experts. You'll be contributing to landmark projects across the UK spanning commercial, residential, infrastructure, and public sector developments.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer you'll take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest technical and design standards are achieved. You'll lead and mentor junior engineers, manage project delivery, and represent the company in meetings with clients and design teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage civil and structural design projects through all stages
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and apprentices
Develop engineering designs, drawings, and calculations using industry software
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and risk assessments
Attend client and design team meetings, providing clear technical input
Conduct site inspections and produce detailed progress reports
Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and sustainability standards
Manage project programmes, deadlines, and budgets
About You

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Chartered or near-Chartered status with ICE or IStructE
Strong technical knowledge of structural and civil design principles
Proven experience managing projects and client relationships
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and MS Office
