The post holder will coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. The post holder will be office based and work at West Strand House Preston with the potential to have to travel to other NHS Talking Therapy bases and required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the networks administrative service, providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision. Evidence of relevant previous experience, a good general education and excellent communication and organisation skills are essential. Knowledge of working within the NHS will be an advantage and computer skills will be essential. The successful applicant will require a flexible approach and the ability to work within a busy team. They will also be expected to use their own initiative and work unsupervised to ensure the effective coordination of duties. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Mental Health Network and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the networks administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision. About us Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area. Person Specification Education/qualifications Administration qualification at NVQ 2 / RSA 2 or equivalent experience.ECDL or equivalent experience. Knowledge Awareness of issues in the Mental Health Network.Knowledge of a range of administrative procedures and practice. Experience Working in an office environmentData inputting and checking.Diary management. Skills and Abilities Takes a pro-active approach to tasks.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using e-mail, telephone or face to face.Able to demonstrate skills in organising and prioritising of diaries and schedules.Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues with tact.
