Head Coach & Programme Director - Gymnastics Company: Balance and Beam Location: Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Part Time Flexible hours, (including some evenings & weekends) Start Date: Immediate Salary: £30-£35K (DOE) Supported by Astro Education Are you passionate about gymnastics, child development, and leading a fun, energetic team? Balance & Beam is looking for an inspiring Head Coach & Programme Director & to lead their exciting children's gymnastics programmes for ages 4 months to 12 years. Job Description Plan, deliver, and review engaging gymnastics and child development sessions. Lead by example, coaching children, supporting parents, and mentoring your coaching team. Develop and manage lesson plans using the RISE coaching portal. Ensure sessions are fun, safe, and tailored to each age group. Manage, train, and inspire your team of senior, assistant, and junior coaches. Oversee health, safety, and safeguarding across all programmes. Communicate clearly with parents and staff, keeping progress records up to date. Qualifications Strong experience in children's gymnastics coaching and programme design. Relevant qualification in Sports Science, Coaching, or Physical Education (or equivalent). Gymnastics coaching award (minimum Level 2). Valid First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain). Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain). Person Specification Energetic, positive, and passionate about helping children grow. A confident leader who can inspire, mentor, and motivate others. Highly organised with excellent communication skills. Creative in lesson planning and adaptable to different learning needs. Committed to fun, safety, and holistic child development (S.P.I.C.E.S).
