This role will be part of a team of engineers covering the central belt of Scotland. The focus of this role is to ensure we deliver a first class service to both internal & external customers, to actively seek revenue opportunities, and to discuss these with customers, Customer Support Representatives and your Line Manager.What you will be doingService and repair Dynapac Machinery, Volvo construction equipment or miscellaneous equipmentIdentify mechanical problems, using technical knowledge and computerized diagnostic equipment, offering guidance and advice to the customerCarry out duties in a commercially focused way, seeking additional service revenue opportunities and promoting our aftermarket solutionsWork in line with quotations and time guides, highlighting to management where additional work may be requiredEnsure software updates are installed as new versions are releasedComplete tablet inputs, electronic reports and timesheets in ‘real time' providing comprehensive details of the work undertakenOrder parts for your work as necessary and to return parts in a clean condition and at the time of job completionAble to work overtime as and when required and to honour reasonable call out requestsAttend any relevant product or systems training coursesRequirementsKnowledge, Skills, And ExperienceA formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural / HGV mechanics or related discipline (i.e. NVQ 3/C&G)Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant, including proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics and electricsAdvanced diagnostic and trouble shooting skills and comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, electrics and EATSAbility to communicate efficiently with colleagues, management and customersWork with a cost conscious mindset to ensure maximum profitabilityAbility to problem solve and high level of diagnostic skillsConfident using computer systems and outlookHigh levels or attention to detailConscientious in all aspects of the jobHighly responsible, reliable, honest and trustworthyAbility to understand technical literature/systemsDesirableExperience of Welding and FabricationBenefitsWhat We Offer You5% Employer Pension contribution25 days annual leave + Bank HolidaysCycle to Work SchemeLife Assurance 4 x annual salaryYulife - Wellbeing App offering discounts and vouchersFinancial/Physical/Mental Health Counselling and Coaching sessionsFree Will writing serviceEAP, which includes 24/7 Doctor accessHealthshield - Cashplan for all employeesFamily Friendly policiesCompany eventsLivingston, Scotland, United KingdomGlasgow, Scotland, United KingdomBathgate, Scotland, United KingdomGlasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom #J-18808-Ljbffr
