Relief Midday Supervisor

Overview We are seeking caring and reliable individuals to join our team as Relief School Meals Supervisory Assistants (SMSAs). This role provides cover during periods of staff illness and is a vital part of ensuring that lunchtimes are safe, enjoyable, and well‑organised for our pupils. It is an ideal role for someone looking for a starting role within a school setting, working term‑time only, within school hours. Key Responsibilities Assist children at lunchtimes both inside the dinner hall and outside on the playground. Encourage positive play and follow the school's behaviour policy. Keep children safe and report any injuries or illness. Provide cover during staff illness. Qualifications & Requirements Patient and caring, able to work under their own initiative. Enjoy working with children and have a good understanding of safeguarding, including statutory guidance. Existing first‑aid qualification preferred; training provided if not.
