The ClientOur client is a large commercial practice known for its work across all premium insurance lines, including professional indemnity. The Manchester office has long played a key part in our client’s strategy to grow their insurance offering across the regions and that is set to continue.The team advise on a range of claims against a variety of professionals, including lawyers, accountants, brokers, conveyancers, surveyors, architects and engineers. They also advise on complex policy issues.The team have a strong client list, including both insurance and corporate clients, and have achieved significant growth in recent years.The RoleAs above, our client’s team in Manchester has grown significantly in recent years and the team are busier than ever in terms of construction insurance disputes. The role will involve running a caseload of professional indemnity claims, focusing on construction risk, as well as supervising junior lawyers and playing a leading role in supporting the team’s ever‑growing client base.Key Requirements:Previous defendant professional indemnity experience (5+ PQE)An ability to prioritise workloadAn ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reportsAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to work with case management systemsThe personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlersLegal qualification required – solicitor/FCILExDesirable:Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole.Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise). #J-18808-Ljbffr
