Qualified Accountant Venn Macclesfield, England, United Kingdom We are looking for a qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) to join our technology business in Alderley Park, Alderley Edge. This is a hands‑on role ideally suited to a professional who wants to maintain a high‑level career without the full‑time hours or city commute. You will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the smooth running of the finance function, providing clarity on financial performance and ensuring robust compliance. Key Responsibilities Management Accounts: Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary on variances and KPIs. Financial Reporting: Overseeing month‑end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. Compliance: Preparation and submission of VAT returns; assisting with year‑end statutory accounts and liaison with external tax advisors. Cash Flow: Monitoring cash flow, producing forecasts, and managing credit control where necessary. Process Improvement: Reviewing current financial systems (currently using Xero and starting Hubspot Payments) and suggesting efficiency improvements. Ad‑Hoc Projects: Assisting with new product pricing and growing the business throughout 2026. The Ideal Candidate Qualification: Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (candidates who are “Qualified by Experience” with significant relevant history will also be considered). Experience: Minimum 3+ years post‑qualification experience, preferably within an SME or Practice environment. Tech Savvy: Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero). Attributes: Self‑sufficient, detail‑oriented, and able to explain complex financial data to non‑finance stakeholders. Local Knowledge: A candidate living within a commutable distance of Alderley Edge/Wilmslow is preferred.
