We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care within a busy medical practice, supporting doctors and other healthcare professionals. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate medical records.This role is ideal for a proactive nurse committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Monday- 08:30-16:00 Tuesday- 08:30-18:30 Friday- 08:30-18:00 Main duties of the job Our Practice Nurses are responsible for providing high-quality patient care, whilst ensuring they maintain IPC standards and adhere to practice and national guidelines. You will work autonomously whilst providing a range of services including chronic disease management, health promotion, wound care and immunisations. Our Practice Nurses are expected to engage with key practice initiatives and ensure that patients are being treated in line with the Quality & Outcomes Framework. Job responsibilities Chronic disease management in line with QOF Targets- Diabetes, Asthma & COPD Child and adult immunisations Screening- Including Cervical Screening Health promotion Child health/child protection Performing ECGs Venepuncture and requesting pathology testing Uphold Infection control standards and ensure clinical environment is kept clean and stocked. Chaperoning and assisting patients Attend and participate in clinical and practice meetings when required Proactive in identifying own needs for personal and professional development Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with current clinical and practice guidelines and initiatives. Provide patient care in accordance with current PGDs and clinical protocols Ensure patient care activities are carried out in line with QOF requirements.
