Job Summary This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of goods. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Operate assigned production machinery according to standard operating procedures. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks throughout the production process to ensure adherence to specifications and identify any defects or issues. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance. Material Handling: Assist in the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper storage and organisation. Training and Development: Engage in training programs to enhance skills; prior machine operation. Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Communication: Maintain effective communication with the print & production department and team members. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace. Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including output quantities, equipment logs, and quality control reports. Person Specification Education: Functional skills Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or direct experience operating machinery preferred but not essential. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating production equipment and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and follow standard operating procedures. Physical attributes: Ability to stand for extended periods. Other skills Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure product quality. Time Management: Excellent organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks efficiently. Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
