Salary: £63,112 per annum
Location: City Hall, London E16 1ZE
Our standard policy is two to three days in the office; this role involves out of hours work to reflect parliamentary and government business and time spent out and about, depending on business needs.

About the role
Provide expert public affairs advice to the Mayor, Deputy Mayors, and senior GLA staff, ensuring alignment with the Mayor's vision for London. Develop and lead dynamic lobbying strategies and engagement programmes, building relationships with parliamentarians, partners, and stakeholders. Play a key role in influencing policy decisions, fostering collaboration, and effectively communicating the GLA's position across diverse sectors.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have the skills, capability, knowledge and track record in:
- Understanding of central government, Parliament, and the legislative process, with insight into London-wide issues and the dynamics of local boroughs and associated bodies.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with senior political figures and diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Experience in high-profile public affairs or political environments, navigating complex political structures and delivering results in dynamic settings.
- Track record in building and maintaining relationships with senior political stakeholders, fostering collaboration and influencing key decisions.
- Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness, providing sound public affairs advice on complex political matters while upholding high ethical standards.
