The service provides an elective Paediatric Orthopaedic service to the Oxford region, working closely with a multidisciplinary team, and developing the service further to support colleagues in regional hospitals across Thames Valley. We are looking for a colleague who can help us towards building this service further.Potential candidates are invited to speak with the Clinical Director and the lead consultant, among others.ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the Children\'s Hospital, Oxford, with regular clinical activity at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust (Stoke Mandeville and High Wycombe Hospitals). The post is available on a 10 PA job plan basis with 1:4 on-call commitment (no trauma).Outline job plan weekly provision and provisional programmed activities will be agreed with the Clinical Director upon appointment and renegotiated annually.Provide high quality secondary and tertiary paediatric orthopaedic services to Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Thames Valley, and neighbouring counties.Support the multidisciplinary team and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.Develop clinical collaboration with paediatric services in Oxford and Buckinghamshire to enhance paediatric orthopaedic provision.Develop paediatric training in orthopaedics with local and national Trainees and provide orthopaedic teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.About usOxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust NOTSSCaN services and division overview; three hospital sites include John Radcliffe Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Horton General Hospital, Banbury.
