The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners, many of whom require additional support or adapted teaching approaches. You’ll play a key role in raising attainment, building mathematical confidence and embedding strong numeracy skills across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4

*

Differentiate work to meet a wide range of learning needs

*

Use practical, real-world and scaffolded teaching methods to support pupils with SEMH/SEND needs

*

Track progress, complete assessments and maintain accurate data

*

Develop intervention strategies to support learners working below expected levels

*

Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development

*

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and promote a supportive learning environment

*

Work closely with the SENDCo, pastoral team and other teachers

*

Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and safeguarding procedures

*

Participate in CPD, staff meetings and wider school life

Requirements

*

QTS or QTLS (Essential)

*

Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and/or KS4

*

Understanding of meeting the needs of pupils with SEND or SEMH (training can be provided)

*

Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

*

Ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability learners

*

A passion for Maths, problem-solving and helping pupils achieve their potential

*

Willingness to work across two sites (Wisbech and King’s Lynn)

*
