Join to apply for the Facilities Technician role at Newbury New England LLC A Staffordshire based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Facilities Technician / Engineer for their production facility in Lichfield to mainly support the water treatment plant and supporting infrastructure and grounds. This active role involves manual handling, working at height, and much more. You'll be managing the operation of the plant to ensure that the site remains fully compliant, and your eye for detail will be essential as record keeping of daily testing is critical. A driving licence is essential as you'll be required to operate a yard tractor on site – gritting grounds during adverse weather and manoeuvring trailers. Role General repairs and maintenance on water treatment plant, and other areas Panama shift (rotating) – Days / Afternoons (no nights) Opportunity to work in a modern food manufacturer Shift Times Days: 05:30am - 16:00pm Afternoons: 12:00pm - 22:30pm Package Salary of c£34k 23 days/shifts Annual Leave Onsite free parking 3 x Life Insurance Key Responsibilities Complete regular checks of the plant and water systems – hourly / daily / weekly. Check cooling towers – sampling, raising chemicals, use correct escalation procedure in case of failures. General maintenance and DIY tasks. Maintain site trailers to ensure they are always road worthy. Complete all necessary PPMs. Advise management of any problems affecting the water treatment plant immediately to minimise operational downtime. Experience and Skills Ideally, related qualifications around water treatment and/or maintenance. Knowledge of a Water Treatment Plant, ideally in a food production environment. Ability or confidence to operate a yard tractor and trailer unit. Observation and recording skills – high level of attention to detail. Legionella and Confined Space Awareness highly desirable.
