Domestic Assistant – Knowjau S.R.L We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and diligent Domestic Assistant to work with our team at Bassetlaw Day Opportunities. The role involves cleaning and maintenance across a district at different buildings, ensuring a clean and safe environment for people and staff. Key Responsibilities Provide cleaning services within the day service, ensuring all areas meet high standards. Support and maintain floor surfaces in accordance with the Authority's cleaning and janitorial specifications and clear spillages. Deep clean areas on a rotational basis, take reasonable care for Health and Safety, and remove waste to external facilities. Clean toilets and washrooms to required standards. Set out furniture as required and support the caretaker with session set‑up and tidying afterward. Assist with logbooks, stock cards, inventories, and ensure adequate cleaning supplies. Carry out all duties with a 'can‑do' attitude. Qualifications Willingness to gain NVQ Cleaning & Building Interiors Standards Level 2. Willingness to train in hygiene and safety to an appropriate level for the job. Basic awareness of Health and Safety. Knowledge of operating specialist equipment related to the job role. Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to excellent customer care and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Ability to work flexibly and handle workplace difficulties with diplomacy. High level of punctuality and attendance. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
