Key Responsibilities Weekly teaching, full school day – 8.45 am‑3.30/4.30 pm, term time Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school/s Teaching from 1 to 5 days per week Singing‑led curricular whole‑class music lessons – Nursery to Year 6 following Sing Education teaching resources Singing assemblies Choirs, lunchtime and after‑school clubs Qualifications University graduate with a degree in music or a related field Skills and Knowledge Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies Excellent command of spoken and written English Capability to conduct whole‑class music lessons Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use Understanding of the National Curriculum for music Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite Experience Experience in classroom teaching or one‑on‑one instruction Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role Personal Attributes Passionate about inspiring a love for music in pupils Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills Ability to collaborate effectively with both Sing Education and school teams Maintains appropriate confidentiality Possesses a sense of humour and can generate enthusiasm for music Highly organised with excellent communication skills Commitment to personal and professional development Benefits Compensation Full‑time salary PA: £22,379 – £29,288 (for 5 days per week), based on a 5‑point progressive pay scale. Staff progress up the pay scale with each 12 months of service following a successful managerial supervision meeting. Initial pay is dependent on classroom music experience and weekly hours + pension. 7 – 40 hours per week – 38 weeks per year + paid training. No PGCE or QTS required.
