Key duties Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding Medication administration Assisting and getting involved in residents'daily activities, hobbies or outings Following care plan guidance alongsideCompany policies and procedures Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents Maintaining written daily records Attending and completingtraining, as required Personal Attributes Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Social Care Worker. Clarendon House, located just outside Salisbury city centre, currently supports up to seven men and women of varied ages with a moderate to mild learning disability, mental health conditions and/or autism, including Asperger’s Syndrome. The home is specifically registered to support individuals with a dual diagnosis. Each resident has a bespoke support plan, based on their personal preferences, likes and dislikes and goals in life. Staff aim to support everyone to develop self-confidence and practical living skills, with the aim of moving on to a more independent setting. To support emotional and general wellbeing we offer in-house positive behaviour support, along with a commitment to ongoing education and personal development through structured activity programmes, both inside the home and out in the local community, including arts & crafts, cooking sessions and computer skills.
