You will be willing and able to rise to the challenge and see the tasks to their fruition, with the satisfaction of knowing that you are potentially making available a document to the world that has not been seen for hundreds of years. The role is physical as well as using computers, a need to be exact is imperative and conservation and preservation of our collections are paramount. Willingness to be flexible on working hours is very important. This is a part-time, 1-year fixed term contract. The hours of work are 15 hours/3 days per week. The annual full time equivalent salary for this role is £25,903 (pro-rated for part time, £10,361). The College Gonville & Caius College is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Cambridge. It is an educational charity, and its mission is to provide a place of education, religion, learning and research, in conjunction with a University that is recognised internationally as being of the highest standard. The College is an academic community comprising some 530 undergraduate students, 250 graduate students, and 110 Fellows (lecturers, professors and other senior academic researchers and teachers) and almost 200 staff.
