EOTAS Tutor - Supporting Students with Emotional Anxiety Location: Latchingdon, Essex (Maldon). Focus: 1:1 Tuition for Secondary‑Aged Student with SEMH (Year 11) in the home and the community. Provision Type: Educated Other Than at School (EOTAS). Pay: up to £30 per hour umbrella / £26 PAYE for experienced/qualified teachers. 3 hours per day, term time only. Between 12:30 pm – 4 pm (can add morning student). Immediate start to end of academic year, continuing through to July 2026. Role As an EOTAS Tutor, you’ll work closely with secondary‑aged learners, either one‑to‑one or in small groups, in community‑based settings or at home. Your focus will be on promoting academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth—while building strong relationships with both learners and their families. Students will require support with KS4 learning (Year 10) following permanent exclusion. Responsibilities Deliver tailored lessons aligned with functional skills. Adapt your teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student. Support learning across a variety of settings, including homes and community venues. Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and holistic support. Foster trust and motivation through patient, flexible, and creative approaches. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing best practices where appropriate. What We’re Looking For Proven experience supporting students with SEMH or similar complex needs. Solid knowledge of the secondary curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Strong adaptability, empathy, and resilience in varied learning environments. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Understanding of safeguarding, SEND, and trauma‑informed practices. A full UK driving licence is preferred due to travel across settings.
