What We Are: Apollo is a specialised independent (re)insurer, established in 2009, dedicated to delivering top‑tier products and services to clients, brokers and capital partners at Lloyd’s. The name "Apollo" was inspired by the achievements of one of its founding investors, Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon in 1969. Together with Jim Hays, Apollo identified an opportunity to create a unique service provider within Lloyd’s. Your Role Apollo is hiring a Senior Manager to lead Capital and Portfolio Management activity for our Platform Partner Syndicates (PPS). Engage proactively with internal teams, external partners and Lloyd's regulators; respond promptly to feedback and contribute to relevant committees and working groups. Assess new business opportunities with a focus on profitability and capital efficiency, stay informed on industry developments to support process improvement, and mentor junior team members while representing Apollo externally. Ability to embed capital considerations into strategic decisions; strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex challenges and develop practical, creative solutions. Clear and effective communication skills for diverse audiences including C‑suite and regulatory committees; strong presentation capability. Adaptable, organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing short‑term priorities with long‑term objectives. FIA qualification. What You Will Get In Return Our compensation package is designed to attract top talent. In addition to a fair and attractive salary, this role offers a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive range of benefits, including 31 days of annual leave, a non‑contributory pension medical insurance.
