Hours – 37 Hours per week. 10:15am to 6.15pm – 3 days per week and 10:30am- 6:15pm – 2 days per week with 30 minutes for lunch per day. Holiday – From 25 days per year with 1 week taken during term-time. Overview We are looking for an exceptional, energetic, self‑motivated, reliable, multi‑skilled, proactive and organized Site Manager to join our team at Epping Primary School. The fundamental part of this job will be premises management. This entails the maintenance and security of the building and grounds, ensuring the cleanliness of the site through the line‑management of cleaners. Responsibilities Primary key holder – lock and unlock premises. Manage and consult with contractors for unplanned and scheduled works, ensuring completion to required standard. Prepare plans for long‑term projects to develop and improve the premises. Manage, order and safely store cleaning materials; maintain internal and external environment to meet Health and Safety requirements (COSHH). Regularly check and operate heating, cooling, lighting and security systems. Perform DIY tasks – routine painting, decorating, gardening, general maintenance, minor plumbing works and general repairs. Undertake ad‑hoc cleaning duties as required. Maintain accurate records, using Microsoft Excel and Word for health‑and‑safety processes and documentation. Relate well to children, interacting with them in a friendly and positive manner. Attend occasional later working for Governors’ meetings, weekly lettings, special events and parents’ evenings – flexibility required. Respond to emergencies outside school hours; overtime will be paid accordingly. Qualifications Previous experience as a Caretaker / Site Manager – essential. Building trade experience – a plus. Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Organised with excellent record‑keeping abilities. Basic experience using Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to relate positively to children. Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare policies.
