Domestic Assistant Location: Ipswich Hospital Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 07:00 am – 15:00 pm (7.5 hrs per day, 15 hrs per week) Pay: £12.51 per hour Are you committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors? Join our team as a Domestic Assistant and play a vital role in infection prevention and patient care. What you’ll do: Deliver high-quality cleaning services across wards, departments, and public areas. Perform routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors. Clean furniture, fittings, bathrooms, and toilets to maintain hygiene standards. Safely dispose of domestic and clinical waste. Replenish essential supplies such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper. Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests, following infection control guidelines. Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, complying with COSHH regulations. Communicate politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff. What we’re looking for: Manual handling training and basic literacy skills. Ability to work safely and follow instructions. Strong communication and customer care skills.
