Greater London, United Kingdom Swap Full time

Swap is the infrastructure behind modern agentic commerce. The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience. Built for brands that want to sell anything - anywhere, Swap centralises global operations, powers intelligent workflows, and unlocks margin-protecting decisions with real-time data and capability. Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence. At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works. About the Role We're looking for a passionate and pragmatic Lead Analyst to join and guide our growing team of embedded business analysts, helping to drive commercial value in our data-driven SaaS ecommerce environment. This is a critical leadership role within the team, offering a high degree of ownership and the chance to directly shape how data and insights are used to influence decision-making across the business. You’ll lead a small team of analysts embedded within key areas, ensuring they deliver high-impact commercial insights. You will also oversee the analysis and reporting that powers our business—from internal commercial insights for Sales and Finance to the trusted data enabling our customer-facing agentic systems. We need a hands‑on leader excited to mentor the team, define our analytics vision, and ensure our analyses translate into measurable commercial success. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high ownership and impact, and have a strong commercial acumen, we'd love to hear from you Key responsibilities Strategic Business Partnering & Roadmap Alignment: Act as the primary interface between the data function and key business stakeholders (e.g., VP of Sales, Head of Product). You will translate vague business questions into concrete analytical roadmaps, ensuring that the embedded team is prioritising work that directly impacts ARR, retention, and operational efficiency. Team Leadership & Technical Standardisation: Manage and mentor a small team, conducting code reviews and fostering professional growth. Establish and enforce technical standards (SQL style guides, Git version control, dbt modelling) for reusable, scalable, and maintainable code across the organisation. Advanced SaaS Metrics & Performance Analysis: Lead definition and monitoring of key SaaS KPIs (e.g., NRR, CAC Payback, LTV:CAC, Churn, Usage Frequency). Drive the team beyond descriptive ('What happened?') to diagnostic and predictive analytics ('Why did churn spike in Q3? Which accounts are at risk next month?'). Data Governance: Champion data governance and quality. Own the "Single Source of Truth" by ensuring consistent metric definitions across all business units and providing input to the Analytics Engineering team to maintain a clean, trusted data infrastructure (warehouse/BI layer). Data Storytelling & Executive Communication: Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for executive leadership. Deliver recommendations, proactively identifying risks and growth opportunities, beyond just dashboards. What we would like to see 7+ years in Data Analytics/BI/Product Analytics, ideally B2B SaaS, with proven experience mentoring or leading teams. Advanced SQL and experience with Python/R for statistical analysis, forecasting, or automation. Deep commercial acumen and SaaS metrics expertise (NRR, CAC Payback, PLG). Ability to translate vague goals into analytical frameworks. Exceptional data storytelling; synthesises complex data into clear, actionable narratives for executive stakeholders. Familiarity with modern data stacks (Snowflake/BigQuery + dbt); comfortable navigating git, reading dbt code for lineage, and contributing to semantic layers. Rigorous approach to experimental design; experience with A/B testing or causal inference to measure impact. Stock options in a high-growth startup. Competitive PTO with public holidays additional. Private Health. Pension. Wellness benefits. Breakfast Mondays. Diversity & Equal Opportunities We embrace diversity and equality in a serious way. We are committed to building a team with a variety of backgrounds, skills, and views. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Creating a culture of equality isn't just the right thing to do; it's also the smart thing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
