Job Title Cancer MDT Coordinator Employer Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Job Summary This role supports the Trust in managing patients with suspected cancer through the hospital systems to ensure timely review, diagnosis, and treatment. You will act as one point of contact for the multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to coordinate patient journeys, monitor waiting times, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities Track patients along the care pathway and identify potential breaches of cancer waiting‑time targets. Ensure all relevant patients are discussed at MDT meetings with supporting clinical information. Collect, record and report cancer information to meet national and local requirements. Coordinate and organize MDT meetings, including organizing agendas and recording minutes. Coordinate reports, investigations, radiology results and clinic appointments. Work closely and proactively with clinical teams to deliver consistent service delivery. Person Specification Essential Requirements GCSE Maths and English Grade A‑C or equivalent. ECDL or equivalent demonstrable computer skills. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Ability to work as part of a team and also in isolation. Positive attitude towards change and its implementation. Experience training others and working within an acute healthcare setting. Competence in Microsoft Office and an NHS Patient Administration System. Strong communication skills with clinicians, colleagues and managers. Initiative and the ability to prioritise workload to meet agreed time‑scales. Skill in coordinating meetings. Desirable Requirements RSA typing or equivalent keyboard skills. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team. Experience with internal Trust systems (CRIS, Unisoft) and databases.
