Job Title: SEN Cover Supervisor Location: Harrow, North West London Contract: Full-time / Term Time Only Start Date: January 2026 Pay: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience) Are you a Psychology graduate looking for classroom experience? They have a well‑resourced SEN department and are looking for someone who can command a classroom while providing specific support to students with additional needs. The Role As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will not just be "babysitting" a class. You will be a vital part of the learning process. Your main duties will include: Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. Crucially: ensuring students with Special Educational Needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) are supported and engaged during these lessons. Managing behaviour effectively using the school’s positive behaviour policy. Delivering pre‑planned work and ensuring students remain on task. Building a rapport with hard‑to‑reach students to foster a safe learning environment. Who We Are Looking For Experience: Previous experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching) is essential. Experience with SEN is highly desirable. Education: A degree (especially in Psychology, Sociology, or Education) is preferred but not mandatory. Personality: You must be confident, resilient, adaptable, and patient.
