Job Title: Religious Education (RE) TeacherLong Term Temporary PositionLocation: Rotherham, South YorkshireStart Date: January 2026Contract Type: Long Term Temporary(PAYE) Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) paid weekly via PAYEWe are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Rotherham that is seeking a passionate and committed RE Teacher to join their team from January.The school has a strong ethos of respect, tolerance and high expectations, and prides itself on creating a positive learning environment for all students.The Role:The successful candidate will deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, following the national curriculum.You will inspire pupils to explore moral, philosophical and ethical issues while helping them develop critical thinking skills and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the school s curriculum.Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and classroom management.Contribute to departmental meetings, planning and whole-school initiatives.Liaise effectively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience teaching RE at secondary level (KS3/KS4).Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Education.Excellent classroom management and communication skills.An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply).Benefits:Paid weekly via PAYE no umbrella fees or hidden deductions.Support from a dedicated consultant throughout your placement.Opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking school community.How to Apply:If you re an enthusiastic RE Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term role starting in January, we d love to hear from you.
