Admin Officer York Location: York City Centre Hours: Monday - Friday Full time office based Pay: £13.51ph This is a temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements. About the Client: The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of the UK government by acting as the government's corporate headquarters and leading on cross‑departmental challenges. It is responsible for a variety of functions, including supporting the delivery of the government's program, driving efficiency and reform, and leading on key policy areas like national security. The office also works to strengthen the UK at home and abroad and promotes a more united democracy. About the Role York based only – free on site parking and on major very regular bus route. UKSV will be undergoing a lengthy process of revamping our library, this will involve moving a large amount of paper files for shredding. This is a physically active role so alongside being comfortable using IT systems accurately you must be prepared to undertake physical duties. Tasks will include manual handling of files, working at height, lifting weight, bending, twisting, pushing heavy loaded trolleys. Good IT skills (Microsoft packages or Google Suite) Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality Comfortable with the physical demands of a role such as lifting and standing for long periods This is a full‑time role working Mon – Fri requiring 100% office attendance and will be on a contract March 2026. About You Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy environment. Experienced in compliance‑focused settings, managing confidential data with integrity and accuracy. Strong communicator, skilled at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
