It will operate from 6pm 7 days a week, 365 days a year and the sole purpose of the service is to reduce individuals being hospitalised, dependency on A and E departments and police resources. This will be a social model of support with staff team expected to utilise appropriate de-escalation and support techniques whilst promoting clients abilities to manage their own coping strategies.We are recruiting a motivated, warm individual for the role of Crisis and Recovery Workers to provide person-centred support to people with mental health needs at our new service in Liverpool.Your role will include:Providing practical and emotional support to service users who may be in or facing mental health crisisIdentifying and accessing opportunities with service users to gain independence and confidenceWorking with service users in a recovery-focused way in line with their support and risk management plansCollaborating other involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service that maximises outcomes for service usersExperience of working with people with mental health needs is essential and you must have a warm personality and be able to work in a person-centred way, at times working within high stress circumstances. A clean driving licence and access to a car is beneficial.You will be expected to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service.This position offers the opportunity to work in an environment that challenges and encourages personal and professional development.
