Job Title Assessor / Trainer – Civil Engineering (Full‑time – Cambridge, England) – £31,110‑£36,157 per annum Overview FreeSpirits, a well‑established Further Education and Apprenticeships provider, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering to help develop the next generation of industry talent. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular progress reviews and provide constructive feedback. Support learners in building strong portfolios and preparing for End‑Point Assessment (EPA). Work closely with employers to identify meaningful workplace activities. Track and document learner progress in line with quality assurance standards. Deliver targeted sessions to support wider life skills and employability. Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements and organisational values. Qualifications and Requirements A relevant Level 3 vocational qualification in Civil Engineering. Industry experience within the Civil Engineering sector. A Level 3 TAQA qualification (or willingness to work towards it). Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (desirable). Strong communication and organisational skills. A genuine passion for training, mentoring, and supporting learners. Understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA processes.
